Connection & mount
Connection
Section titled “Connection”For devices that can be wired or wireless (hubs, PoE cameras, mains-powered nodes), choose Wireless or Wired in the properties panel. This affects the mesh analysis — wired devices act as fixed backhaul.
Mount type
Section titled “Mount type”Set how a device is mounted so it appears in the right place in 3D:
- In-ceiling — flush in the ceiling (downlights, ceiling sensors, in-ceiling speakers).
- On wall / In wall — at wall height (switches, thermostats, cameras).
- On table — at desk/table height.
Leave it on Auto to use a sensible default for the device’s category. The mount only changes the 3D representation; it doesn’t affect coverage.
