Rooms & floor types

Rooms let NexusPlan report areas, group devices, and render proper floors in 3D.

Create rooms

Use Detect room to auto-fill a closed wall loop, or Draw a room to trace a polygon by hand. Select a room to rename it, change its colour, and see its area.

Floor type

Each room has a Floor type — Wood, Laminate, Carpet, Tile, Concrete, or Vinyl. This sets how the room’s floor looks in the 3D view (matte carpet, warm wood, a sheen on tile), so a walkthrough feels like the real space. It’s saved with the project.
