Import & scale a plan

You can draw from scratch, but most people start from an existing plan.

Import an image

Open Floor → Import floor plan image and choose a PNG or JPG (an architect’s plan, a sketch, anything to trace over). It drops onto the canvas as a dimmed underlay.

Set the scale

So coverage, room areas, and cable lengths are accurate, tell NexusPlan how big the plan really is:

1. Choose the Set scale tool.
2. Click two points a known distance apart (a wall you know the length of, or the scale bar on the drawing).
3. Type the real-world distance.

Everything on the plan is now measured in metres.

Adjust the underlay

If the image needs nudging, use Adjust floor plan position & size to drag and rescale it under your walls without moving anything you’ve drawn.
